We Need You (17/02/13)

We Need You

It’s been brought to my attention that there’s some interest in being part of one of the committees for next season. There are a number of vacancies going to be available which include: President, Vice President, Club Captain, Assistant Club Captain, Senior Interclub Controller, Junior Interclub Controller, and Secretary on the management committee, as well as general committee members. If any of these interest you, then please don’t hesitate to let me know, even if you’re only remotely interested I can brief you on what the different roles involve. You may even like to sit in on a meeting this season to get a feel for what goes on.

As you know, we went into this season with many of these positions not filled and I would really like to get some interest before the end of this season. Please don’t be frightened off by some of these positions, as whist some carry certain functions, many are all about ‘stamping your own mark’ on the role.  So please give it some consideration and give something back to the club. So often in clubs it’s left to the same few to carry the work load, so we would really like to see some new folk put their hand up.

I really look forward to hearing from those that may be interested.

Peter Patterson
Club Captain and Acting President
